Romantic Maine Waterfront Nuptials
On a clear, warm summer day Lea and Derek’s family and friends joined together overlooking the cliffs of Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth to watch the couple exchange heartfelt vows. With the majority of guests traveling from out of state, the guests were given the opportunity to explore the park before the ceremony and enjoy the incredible views the park has to offer. After the ceremony, guests made their way to Brick South for dinner and dancing. Our amazing vendor team worked together beautifully to bring the couple’s love for great food and great music together, with the guests dancing until the absolute last minute of the reception. Our team had an amazing time working with this great couple and showing their families all that Maine has to offer!
MEET THE COUPLE
How did you and your partner meet?
We met in 2009 when Derek's best friend heard I didn't have a date to my 10th grade Snowball Dance. Derek, who went to the neighboring high school, loved the thought of going to a different school's dance, so he showed up at my door a few weeks prior to introduce himself. We've been smitten ever since.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Lea's favorite memory - Our vow reading. We chose to write our own vows. It was one of the most memorable moments where Derek and I were speaking only to each other, fully focused on each other that day. It was incredibly special.
Derek's favorite memory - The ceremony. Looking out at the crowd and seeing so many faces that traveled far and wide to be there with us on our day felt overwhelming.
Favorite part about having a coordinator from PMP :) ?
PMPs expertise brought to light the little details that we wouldn't have thought about, and things that we had been mulling over for weeks seemed to get solved so easily once Christina stepped in. Having the 60-day coordinator allowed us to completely relax the weeks leading up to our day and the day of. This was so essential to us when our nerves started to set in. We knew everything was taken care of and nothing needed to be worried about, which allowed us to just relax and focus on each other. I wouldn't change a THING about our day and we are so thankful for all of the help from Pinch Me Planning.
