A Sweet and Romantic Afternoon at Cunningham Farm

Nicole and Chris worked with our team to plan a day that played perfectly to their classic tastes, with an abundance of white flowers by Farmhouse Floral by Estabrooks and subtle touches of blue. On the day of their wedding, despite having a clear forecast, the sky opened up with a torrential downpour right before the groom was sent down the aisle. While guests ran in all directions, we were so grateful for our incredible vendor team while we waited for the storm to pass. Before we could even ask for help, Trillium, Michelle from Swoon Union, and Tanner from Cunningham Farm were right with us to help wipe down the benches. The team gave us the support needed to get through the storm and the bandwidth to chat with the couple and assure them that everything was under control! The ceremony proceeded as planned with heartfelt vows from the couple and the evening ended with an always-full dance floor.

1)  How did you and your partner meet?

We met on Tinder!

2)  What is your favorite memory from your wedding day? 

There were so many incredible moments - seeing each other down the aisle, hearing each other's vows, our first dance, maids of honor and best man speeches...! While maybe not our favorite memory, one of the most memorable moments was the sudden boom of thunder and down pour of rain right at 3:30 as we were about to start the ceremony, but we were so glad to hear how our guests did enjoy the quick scramble and scurry to find cover. Talk about a great way to break the ice! If we had to pick one favorite memory, we ‘d choose dancing with all of our friends to the last song of the night, Africa by Toto. It was a moment where we really felt all the love from our friends and family and Nicole felt so cool when Chris picked her up and lifted her above the crowd.

3)  Favorite part about having a coordinator from PMP :) ?

Hiring Christina and the Pinch Me Planning team was the number one best decision we made for the wedding (besides choosing to marry each other obviously!) It was such a relief to have her as our guide - she kept us organized, on schedule, and eased any stress we had. Even when planning a wedding during Covid, we never once felt in a panic - she would just present different options and trade offs to help us navigate the ever changing circumstances. Christina was a straight shooter and helped us to be decisive and to honor ourselves and our vision. She was also kind and nurturing, helping to comfort us in our moments of stress. This was certainly displayed when Nicole was in tears as the rain was pouring for fear that the wedding ceremony was ruined and that her guests were upset. Christina (who was drenched from head to toe) took time to check on Nicole, give her a reassuring hand squeeze, tell her that everything was just fine, and provide reassurance that all would go as planned and that we would reset once the rain passed. (You don’t have to put this in, but seriously Christina you will never know how much that moment meant to me, thank you so much for taking the time to provide that comfort when I’m sure you had many other things on your mind - I get emotional just reliving it.) It can be difficult to know the value of having a rockstar planning team when everything seems to just go smoothly - but that’s exactly the value PMP provides. The fact that we didn’t feel like we had to worry about any coordination or logistics on the day of our wedding was priceless. We were able to truly relax and be in the moment, and that’s all thanks to Christina and her team. It was so wonderful to work with Christina from design, to planning, and finally the wedding day itself. Thank you so much for your abundance of hard work, your thoughtfulness and caring nature, and your ability to roll with the punches (ugh Covid).
