Burgundy Wedding Palette at Brick South
It was a wedding for the ages for Bianca and Ned! This beautiful celebration combined vintage touches with contemporary looks to create a warm, inviting, and exciting atmosphere. Held at Brick South Maine in Portland, every detail of the day was perfect, from the eclectic collection of furniture to the twinkling series of lights above. The Broadturn Farm flowers complemented Bianca’s flowy dress, and the subdued fall colors added a seasonal flair.
An unforgettable portland wedding
The ceremony and reception both took place at the spacious Brick South Warehouse at Thompson’s Point. The steel beams, worn bricks, and wooden accents created an industrial atmosphere that we used as the backdrop for contemporary lighting and a mix of lounge furniture and varied dining areas. Guests danced away to music by Beat Train Productions while sipping on craft cocktails served out of the Roaming Speakeasy, and the night ended with desserts from the Portland staples, the Holy Donut and Two Fat Cats Bakery. It was an absolutely unforgettable and magical night.
meet the couple
How did you and your partner meet?
We met at a Battle of the Bands in high school. Before Ned and his band performed their set of mostly Incubus covers...Bianca came over and introduced herself to him! Ned couldn't get her out of his mind and they AOL instant messaged non-stop for the months following until agreeing that they should date.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
"The whole day!" - Bianca...but if we had to choose:
Ned: One of my best childhood friends ripping his rented tuxedo pants while hoisting my mom up on a chair during the Horah. My mom said she was honored and he said it was the absolute best way to rip his pants. The rental company didn't charge him any fee...yet. That is my second favorite memory. My absolute favorite memory, though, was hearing Bianca say her vows and noticing all the tears around us; it really drove home how special of a moment in time that was.
Bianca: Sneaking off to the side with Ned during the reception to watch the party happen from afar. Seeing all of our loved ones gathered together in one place was beautiful. It was also meaningful to take that private moment just for the two of us.
Favorite part about having a coordinator from PMP :) ?
Everything that we could possibly imagine or fret over was handled, often before we even could fret over it. From sewing back together a corn hole bean bag to warning us that it was imperative we hold on to the armless chairs during the Horah to magically reverse engineering and printing a missing table number sign. Christina and her team had it all under control at all times. The peace of mind that came from this was priceless to us.
