A Tropical Portland Maine Wedding at O'Maine Studios
Sam and Jake’s August wedding day started out with lots of rain thanks to Hurricane Laura, but it broke around 3 p.m., allowing for Sam, Jake, and their bridal party to get some amazing pictures in downtown Portland. The cobblestone streets, brick buildings, and overcast skies created the perfect ambiance. Although "Plan B" was used for the ceremony, the inside of O'Maine Studios was nothing shy of spectacular thanks to the flower fairies at Harmon's. A dark wooden arbor adorned with tropical leaves and flowers stood against a greenery backdrop while white rose petals and tropical leaves lined the aisle.
Bringing the Beach to Maine
Having had to cancel their wedding in Mexico, they brought a touch of the beach to coastal Maine. Brightly colored flags lined the bar and the buffet tables, tropical leaves ran down the middle of the reception tables, and their signature drinks were margaritas and Moscow mules. The couple's closest friends and family celebrated with them over Bird & Co's delicious Mexican cuisine of tacos, taquitos, chips and guac, and sweet corn. The dance floor was occupied the entire night thanks to Isaiah Bennett's incredible selection of 90s hip-hop. They ended the night with cupcakes, churros, and a taco-shaped piñata filled with candy and nips.
