A Truly Maine Wedding at Camp O-AT-KA

Nothing is more quintessential Maine than a trip to summer camp! Hannah and Scott brought their guests back to camp for a beautiful fall wedding in Maine. From evening lakeside s’mores to photo ops with customized logos on the L.L. Bean Bootmobile, it was a real Maine wedding for the books!

A day at camp

The ceremony took place in Camp O-AT-KA’s chapel followed by a meal inside the dining commons. L.L. Bean made an appearance at cocktail hour where the couple had their own special Bootmobile! The Roaming Speakeasy created custom concoctions, and the night concluded with sparklers and lakeside dessert provided by the Marshmallow Cart.

Meet the couple

How did you meet?

I met Scott at a brewery in Denver in 2015!

Favorite part of your wedding day?

It's hard to pick one favorite moment from the day, overall it was just marrying Scott and seeing our families come together! I also really loved my moms and our MOH/BM speeches. However, a really special moment was when Scott sent over a letter and a gift to me the morning of the wedding as the girls were getting ready - I have a few pieces of jewelry that I wear every single day and they all have sentimental value to me (one bracelet is the first piece of jewelry Scott ever gave me and the other bracelet is my grandmother’s who passed away). I always wanted another bracelet to add to the bunch but have never found one that works/that has meaning and on the morning of our wedding Scott gifted me a silver bracelet that he made. It goes perfectly with my other two pieces of jewelry and I found out he'd been working on it in our basement when I went to sleep at night in the weeks leading up to our wedding and he also stamped our initials on the inside. It was such a perfect gift to receive the morning of our wedding and I will always cherish it!

Best part of having a wedding coordinator :)?

The best part of having a day-of coordinator is that you can genuinely relax the day of your wedding and know that everything is being taken care of just how you've envisioned and planned it! I was able to enjoy the day and not worry about any details or vendors because I knew everything was being handled and handled well.
