An August Waterfront Wedding in Maine
August brings such wonderful summer weather in Maine. With warm, breezy temperatures and days of sunshine, it’s the perfect time for an outdoor waterfront wedding. Bradlee and Wyatt chose the perfect month for a warm and sunny New England celebration of love. Elizabeth LaDuca did a beautiful job photographing the couple’s special day, showcasing every detail of the wedding from start to finish.
There’s nothing like a Maine waterfront for a tranquil and romantic ceremony. Decorated with FIELD Floral Studio and details provided by Wallace Events, it was the perfect setup. After the bride and groom exchanged vows, everyone migrated to a beautifully decorated tent for dinner, drinks, and dancing. From specialty cocktails to delicious eats by Uncommon Feasts, it was an unforgettable evening!
Meet the couple
How did you meet?
My husband and I met at college. We both attended St. Lawrence University a year apart. We were only ever friends in college but reconnected at homecoming the year after I graduated and the rest is history!
Favorite part of your big day?
Our favorite memory from our wedding day has to be dancing to our amazing band with all of our friends on the dance floor! From our first dance, to be lifted up in chairs, to Wyatt taking my garter off, the dance floor was full of smiles, fun, and laughter for everyone all night long.
Best part of having a wedding coordinator? :)
My favorite part about having a day-of coordinator is that I didn’t have to worry about executing a single thing and that if there were any issues, I didn’t have to spend any of my time dealing with them. Our coordinator only brought key decisions to me throughout the night and that was only a few. Everything was flawless and that was all due to Amanda’s diligent and hard work throughout the entire day and evening. I also appreciated Amanda’s attention to detail during our conversations leading up to our big day. I didn’t get a chance to see the set up in the tent until Wyatt and I were walking in for cocktail hour. And everything was exactly as I had envisioned! It was a lot to put my trust in someone else to make our big day look like we wanted and it was totally worth it!
