Magical Marianmade Wedding in September
There’s nothing like the magic of a late summer wedding at Marianmade Farm, an idyllic lavender farm that provides romantic backdrops for celebrations of love. Abby and Rick’s wedding was exactly that and much more, and Marianmade was just the right place for their celebration.
A day to Remember
Abby and Rick’s wedding day was an unforgettable one. Every detail was perfect, from Michelle Peele’s flowers adding the perfect touch to the decor set up by One Stop Events. The weather for the ceremony couldn’t be more perfect, and guests enjoyed a meal in the barn afterward. Everyone danced the night away under a lit-up tent - the happiest ending to the happiest day.
Meet the couple
How did you and your husband meet?
We met at work. We were both working for a small advertising agency in Boston at the time. We chatted casually at a few office happy hours before Rick started to purposefully schedule meetings between the two of us under the guise of getting some "training" from me. In reality he just wanted some time to get to know each other better! During one of these meetings I made a comment about how I liked the notebook he was using. The next morning I came into work to find a brand new version of that notebook on my desk with a sweet post-it note from Rick. We started going on dates shortly after, and the rest is history.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Oh gosh, what a tough question! Every moment was my favorite, but I especially loved walking into our ceremony together. It was an untraditional element that we talked about a lot leading up to the wedding. But everything we had done together up until that day we had done as a team, so it only made sense to us that we walked into our ceremony as that same unit. Another favorite moment was the overwhelming feeling of seeing everyone we both love so much in the same place at the same time. Everyone tells you how incredible it is to have all of family and friends in the same room, but it's truly impossible to put that feeling into words. It's probably the only time in our lives when we'll have all of our people together and the magnitude of that was certainly not lost on us.
Favorite part about having a coordinator :)?
The best part about having a coordinator was the peace of mind of knowing that someone else, someone who knew all the the little details in my brain, was in charge of the day. I enjoyed planning our wedding, but I always knew that I did not want to have to coordinate and be in charge of the day itself. I wanted to be able to hand the reigns over to someone else with full confidence that our vision would be brought to life. That is exactly what Christina and her team made happen. We primarily worked with Courtney on Christina's team for day-of coordination and could not have been happier with our decision to to hire Pinch Me Planning. Courtney took care of coordinating timelines and schedules with all of our vendors, reviewing our rental list to ensure we had everything we needed based on all the details of the day, and she set-up and ran the day flawlessly. As far as I was concerned our wedding was perfectly executed and if there was a hiccup PMP took care of it before I even noticed! If you are on the fence about whether or not to hire a planner, just do it. And hire Pinch Me Planning - it's worth every ounce of the peace of mind you'll get in return.
