Industrial Portland Wedding at the Public Works
When Toni and Dylan came to us to plan their industrial wedding at a new event space in Portland, we couldn’t have been more honored! Coincidentally, we had just signed a lease to have our new office in the adjacent co-working space. The couple’s vision for a chic fall wedding in Portland, Maine truly came to life with the help of our talented team of vendors. Toni and Dylan’s big day was the perfect blend of industrial, romantic, and fun!
hosting a warehouse wedding
The Public Works in Portland, Maine has a great setup where food trucks can pull up right outside; we took advantage of this and invited Noble BBQ, The Mini Bar, and Eighty Eight Donuts to cater Toni and Dylan’s wedding!
For the decor, we wanted a “wow!” piece to welcome guests into the ceremony, so Lindsay at Yellow Twist constructed a wine wall for guests to grab a drink while they waited for the bride to come down the aisle. Fun fact: this wall can also fit pint glasses as well as provide shelving for escort cards. We couldn’t have been happier with the outcome for this amazing couple!

interview with our bride, toni
How did you and your husband meet?
Dylan and I actually met in high school, as we were the same year at rival schools in Portland. We shared a lot of the same friends and we crossed paths many times at football games or parties, but were more acquaintances than anything. It wasn’t until after Dylan returned back to the states after attending university in England, that our paths crossed again. We immediately hit it off and I guess you could say the rest is history!
What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Our favorite memory of the wedding was towards the end when every single person there circled around us on the dance floor as we all sang “Piano Man” at an unreasonably loud volume with our arms around each other. It was amazing to see so much love and support for us as well as so many friends and family genuinely happy and having fun, all at the same time, in the same moment.
What was your favorite part about having a wedding planner?
By far, our favorite part of having a wedding planner was peace of mind. Peace of mind that even if we didn’t know, they knew. Peace of mind that we didn’t have to stress that something wouldn’t get done. Peace of mind that our day would go smoothly despite any issue that could come up. Peace of mind that the best possible people for the job were in charge of our most important day.
