Downtown Portland Wedding at the U.S. Custom House
Joanna and Dean first met in nursery school - can you believe that?! The day was filled with family and friends who knew each other from meeting over the years. Everyone was ecstatic to celebrate these two since they were all a part of their epic love story.
Unique florals and decor
The bouquets from Hannah Rae Herbert were as beautiful and unique as Joanna and Dean’s love story, and Joanna accentuated it with gorgeous statement earrings and a studded jean jacket. Her black bouquet matched Dean’s dark ensemble. It was the perfect style combination for this awesome couple!
A custom house celebration
After a beautiful ceremony, Joanna and Dean and their guests arrived at the U.S. Custom House in Portland for an exceptional wedding celebration. The party lasted five hours, starting with a fun cocktail hour and ending the evening with a tasty late-night menu provided by Bread & Butter Catering. The delicious dinner menu included tacos, bao buns, and of course, Maine lobster rolls! Everyone danced the night away to DJ Simone Says under the Custom House’s high ceilings and beautiful archways.
Meet the Bride: Joanna
How did you and your husband meet?
In pre-school! We were classmates, and have a photo to prove it! From there we went on to date for a short and sweet month in high school, and then reconnected later in life as mutual friends from home and got married.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding day?
Dancing on the bars at the Custom House! It was epic.
Favorite part about having a wedding planner :) ?
Knowing that everything was taken care of, so I could just sit back and enjoy! Christina and the PMP team really honored my vision and made it fun. She was so easy to work with, yet kept me and my parents on track...Christina truly feels like a friend.
