A Maine Wedding at Beech Hill Barn
For this styled shoot, we wanted to portray a timeless Maine barn wedding with a vintage touch. We went with Beech Hill Barn, a classic venue northeast of Portland. The rustic barn, which used to house horses to ride in the surrounding wilderness, was renovated several years ago to host weddings and provided the perfect backdrop for our styled shoot.
We wanted to keep a rustic, vintage theme going, and Honeysuckle Way provided beautiful florals that add just the right amount of color to the setting. The beautiful ceremony arch hung behind the couple and created a romantic feeling. The Vintage Inkwell created heirloom invitations with a pop of orange and green to match our scene, and D. Cole Jewelers provided beautiful silver and gold rings.
Vintage inspired
We went for a vintage look with the bride’s dress from Andrea’s Bridal and the groom’s green bow tie, which matched the bride’s earrings. The white, rhinestoned heels from Bella Belle added the right touch of elegance to complete the look.
A Roaming speakeasy and colorful cakes
To keep up with the timeless feel, we brought in The Roaming Speakeasy, where our couple mixed drinks and enjoyed a craft cocktail (or two!). Skye’s Artisan Bakes created a delectable masterpiece, and we played with florals and pink accents for the cake’s decor. On the table, we added a pop of purple and a splash of light blue. The purple vintage glasses were the perfect touch!
